Some products do not run at their advertise First Copy Out time as advertised, they are much slower. Some printers if you want to run at it s advertise running speed, you will have get a service person to disable the energy saving settings.

For Example The Kyocera FS-2020 has a advertised  "Time To Print First Page: Approx. 9 seconds or less"  but this is only achiveable  with the EcoFuser turned off.

What type of scan to PDF can the machine do?

Do you Stock Toner?

What is the Biggest paper stock the machine can haddle?

Make sure that any new machine can hadle a wide range of paper stock, even if you do not plan to use in now. Buying  a new MFD is a big investment, so it would be a pitty if in 18 months time you want  to print a job of A3sr and find out your new MFD only prints on A3. The same goes for paper thickness some MFD only print up to 163 gsm from the paper trays. Some do offer the ability to do thicker paper from the bypass tray, but this disables a lot of features of the machine i.e. Duplexing.
